In our space/museum, we organize demonstrations all about chocolate. We share our knowledge of this passion in an interactive way. We talk about the origins of cocoa, its qualities, as well as its different growing stages. For the more curious, we uncover a few tricks, more daring combinations.
“Planète Chocolat, a whole universe…”
In addition to the manufacturing workshop, Planète Chocolat houses two demonstration rooms. The decor is designed to immerse the visitor in the fabulous world of cocoa and chocolate.
The first room is based on Hernan Cortes, with his desk and fresco murals depicting Mayan temples and recounting conquistadors’ distant voyages in their discovery of the New World. It can accommodate up to 60 people.
The second room, which is larger, has a capacity of up to 100 people. Situated around the artisanal manufacturing workshop, it is decorated with unique museum pieces from the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries. For example, there are ancient cups, chocolate makers, metallic chocolate boxes, praline molds, molds of hollow figures, and old books about cocoa… This space is dedicated as a museum retracing the history of chocolate.
The demonstration visit lasts approximately 45 minutes. Demonstrations for individuals are arranged according to our availabilities and under booking only. Please contact us at the e-mail address planetechocolat[at]skynet.be to make a booking.
Demonstrations for individuals are held both in English and in French.
When you book with us, you will automatically receive a confirmation email with your order number which represents your access to the demonstration.
In the form of fun little games, we offer participants the possibility to mold their own caraques (chocolate designs).
Then, we take you on a voyage to discover a variety of different flavors: chocolate with thyme, chocolate with pepper, chocolate with violet, chocolate with Lily of the Valley, all accompanied by our homemade hot chocolate.
We organize demonstrations for groups ranging from 25 to 100 people.
